I’ll meet you where you are

Being in the here and now. Asking from the here and now and responding from the here and now. Truly masterful trait. When in that zone the connection is instant, goes deep, allows for a feast of true sharing. Anything can land on the fertile ground of no judgment. When it happens you are not bringing anything in and you are not taking anything away, everything stays with you and the other respectively. Effortless encounter, where both have an opportunity to experience one-another.

Instead, especially in leadership positions, we feel obliged to leave the mark, to convince, to show the way, to know – yet how can anybody? Creating a following is not about convincing that you are right, it’s about enthusing people to move in the direction of achieving common goals. Leadership is about creating alignment even if some individual ‘flexible bending’ is required to realise the plan. 

A lot stands in the way of those encounters, of listening with the whole self and seeing / feeling the whole other. From breath work to taming the mind chatter, from embracing the unknown to enjoying vulnerability, from analysing conditioning patterns of the past to letting them go. Moving from charisma into presence – I walked through it.
