Leading by asking questions

Leading by asking

Are you ready to lead from a new plane? Can you let go of the notion that you know? By asking questions you harvest the wisdom of the room, you open people up, you delegate fully, which frees you up to engage with your peers and those above to enable your personal growth.

Having courage to ask pointed, open, powerful questions allows the team to explore more, to inquire, to hypothesise, to test things out - out loud. It takes the pressure of you to provide and allows others to grow up, face whatever is ahead of them and respond from where they are. That gives you – the leader insights into succession, who could own the next big rock, who is ready to step up, who needs more nurturing, who is an even keel, who wants a lateral move. Priceless.

When you are in an inquiry mode the conversation self-unfolds and your mental capacity and emotional energy can be deployed into addressing strategic and truly important matters.

Its liberating - not to have to know it all. Phew! Connect with me and ask all the questions on how to get there.
